Place to walk: Høgevarde, Norefjell

Høgevarde mountain peak is a splendid two hour walk. Easy accessed and walked. You will enjoy the massive and beautiful mountains in south of Norway and still be home for supper.

How to get there: 2 hour drive north of Oslo. Drive to Gulsvik and pass Gulsvik Brygge (from south) take left unto 202 and you'll find the signs to Høgevarde. It's a NOK 60  toll road to get up there. Cards accepted. Not Vipps (as of July 2018).

Start and stop: Høgevarde fjellpark. Park where the arrow is shown on the map beneath (before the small bridge on Gulsviksetervegen). You can start the ascending to Høgevarde nearly right away. If you drive by arrows of the street signs, you'll end up at Fyrisjøen about 2 K away and enjoy walking about 8 K more.

Time and distance: 2 hours / 8K both up and down in sum
Tips and tricks: take a wind breaker with you. It may be quite chilly at the top even if the weather is nice.
Other places to visit nearby: Bjørneparken at Flå, 10 K north of Gulsvik (20 K from Høgevarde parking)

Cloudberry / Multe ... if you're lucky
